Food Ingredients to Avoid

Here in America the federal spending on domestic and global health programs and services accounted for 29% of net federal outlays in 2023, or $1.9 trillion out of $6.4 trillion, yet the food companies here are the ones making us sick causing that number to rise. The government does not want us to be healthy, they want us to be sick, with chronic diseases, ADHD, autism, ADD, depression, acne, etc… It's all money to them. More sick people equals more money in their pockets. More sick people, more cause for a higher spending on healthcare which in return means more taxpayer money from our pockets. The question is how do they do it, and most importantly how do they get away with it? They do it by adding harmful ingredients and additives into our food. We consume these ingredients and the side effects from them are awful and numerous. This adds onto the rise of chronic diseases and health problems across America. (In Europe, nearly all of these are banned.) Once we get sick from these ingredients, where do we turn to? The pharmacies. The pharmacies hand us medicine and the government gets handed more money. The solution, really the cure, is to remove these harmful ingredients from our food. Why does our government not do that? These ingredients are cheaper to use and the chemicals added makes our minds addicted, causing us to consume and spend more money. It is all about money. The government continues to get away with this every year. We the people need to start speaking up for ourselves, our children, parents, grandparents and future generations. We need to fix this health crisis for a brighter, happier, healthier future.

 

If the government spends $1.9 trillion every year on healthcare, couldn't we afford higher quality, non harmful ingredients? Additionally, with these ingredients the amount of money needed for healthcare would decline, think about that. Less money for government healthcare spending would in return mean less taxpayer money needed which then equals more money we can spend on higher quality food (and with addictive chemicals removed and fiber added we would purchase less food, not even purposely but instinctively). The solution is simple.

 

STAY AWAY FROM THESE INGREDIENTS:

SEED OILS

  • Canola Corn 
  • Cottonseed 
  • Soy 
  • Sunflower 
  • Safflower 
  • Grapeseed (Canola) 
  • Rice bran

Side effects: 

  • diabetes, obesity, heart disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), inflammation, and macular degeneration, disrupted hormones, skin aging, acne, melanoma, eczema,  etc.

ANY AND ALL FOOD DYES (FOOD DYES ARE A KNOWN CARCINOGEN)

  •  Carcinogen= a substance, organism or agent capable of causing cancer.

Side effects:

  • Hyperactivity, including ADHD, behavioral changes like irritability and depression, allergic reaction, hives and asthma, sneezing, watery eyes, skin irritation, migraines, bronchitis, negatively impacts nerve cell development, cancer, etc.

“Natural Flavors”- nothing is natural about them.

Government regulations define natural flavors as those that derive their aroma or flavor chemicals from plant or animal sources, including fruit, meat, fish, spices, herbs, roots, leaves, buds or bark that are distilled, fermented or otherwise manipulated in a lab. Natural flavors are made by scientists the same way artificial flavors are. Chemicals in natural flavors are sarex chemicals, methyl cyclopentenolone, diacetyl, methyl methoxy pyrazine, and benzaldehyde, amyl acetate, citral, linden ether, massoia lactone, acetoin, plus emulsifiers, solvents, and preservatives. As long as these added chemicals fall under a category called “generally recognized as safe,” or GRAS, they are “okay” to use. In reality they cause a number of harmful side effects, and who wants to eat chemicals?


OTHER INGREDIENTS TO AVOID:

  • Artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, corn syrup and saccharin
  • Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Benzoate
  • Sodium Nitrites and Sodium Nitrates
  • MSG (monosodium glutamate)
  • Propylparaben 
  • Titanium Dioxide 
  • Isomalto-oligosaccharides (IMOs) 
  • Soy Lecithin 
  • Maltodextrin
  • Enriched flour
  • Guar Gum 
  • Hydrogenated Oils (trans fat)
  • All of these ingredients can lead to serious health problems. The harmful side effects are endless.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BE EATING: 

  • Foods with a short list of ingredients on a label
  • High in fiber (food companies like to remove fiber so you consume and purchase more, this leads to health problems such as obesity)
  • Magnesium rich foods (learn more about magnesium below)
  • Low sugar (keep in mind natural sugar from fruits and honey is okay)
  • Pasteurized milk 
  • Pasture-raised eggs
  • Avocado oil
  • Olive oil (virgin is best)

Magnesium is a crucial nutrient needed for the health of a human body. Magnesium is important for many processes in the body, including regulating muscle and nerve function, blood sugar levels, and blood pressure and making protein, bone, and DNA. This is an expert from the National Library of Medicine (NIH): “In humans, subclinical magnesium deficiency is common and generates chronic inflammation, which is the common denominator of a wide range of mental and physical health problems from metabolic diseases to cognitive impairment, from osteopenia and sarcopenia to depression. It is ascertained that magnesium content in fruits and vegetables dropped in the last fifty years, and about 80% of this metal is lost during food processing. As a consequence, a large percentage of people all over the world does not meet the minimum daily magnesium requirement.”
